I'd like to add some little bits of wisdom to shake your funk but you hit the nail on the head.
One could make a case that you should live life to the fullest before your items are either put out in a yard sale or sent to Goodwill but what if its your turn to break your hip? Have you ever watched the classic movie "Harry and Maude"? I think what people sometimes fail to realise is that we have many family's in our life. Our biological family of course, but we have extended families of co-workers, friends and in your case internet families all of whom who need us in some ways. At 57 I ache in places I didn't know I could ache in, yet a trip to Jamaica finds me walking miles and miles every day. If my hip would break and that is taken away, I can't say it would be easy to go on but through mentoring of some sort I feel I could pass on some of my life experiences to others.
Life is a crap shoot but those of us that have traveled are so much the richer for it. Saddam and bush shared a lack of international travel when they were younger and could travel anonymous and look what sort of losers they became. Count your blessings and live for today as Maude taught me in that movie.
