Route taxi's

Route taxi's are my new mantra when talking about Jamaica.
This trip was my first extensive use of them and I can't wait to go back and try them again. I went to Santa Cruz via two of them from Treasure Beach. That was a good long distance and the cost was 220J or less than $4US! I met the friendliest people and had one of those Jamaica monents that will stay with me forever. A fellow was selling oranges on the street; Iasked what was the price and he said $100J; OK sezs I. I then opened the bag and stuffed 6 more plus handed us two a piece. "God blees you, God bless you, come back to Jamaica please" he said. I almost cried at his touching behavior. Jamaica is full of Santa Cruz's that can only be reached via route taxi and I plan on seeing more of them next time. I suspect we were the only tourists in this bustling town.
