Monday Evening

Has it been a long day or what? I'm exhausted. Well, at least my dishes are clean. Kevin and Brian came over for dinner this evening, chicken and rice. What a mess!

It started out looking nice today but the clouds just couldn't stay away. I took a short walk this afternoon and a bus ride to pick up some computer crap at MilwaukeePC.

Everyone was working here today, Gary the Plumber, Dave the HandyMan, Jim and Dave the Painters, and it was trash pickup day for the recyclables. Tuesday the paper guy comes and Wednesday the mixed trash is collected. This means that I have to unlock the gate to the courtyard so that the Waste Management trucks can get to the dumpsters and I have to make sure that no one blocks the access alley, which usually happens just as the collection truck arrives, and so he just goes right on by... No pickup.

The trash must be picked up, let me tell you, because it just piles up, up to the top of the dumpsters and then over onto the asphalt and then every where. So the Waste Management guys have priority access but I have to be right on anyone who decides to park their car or van in the alley, even if it's for just a few moments.

Today my bossed faxed me a pic of a decorative trellis dohickey for the courtyard makeover project, so I've got to get the courtyard webcam back up so you can see it happen live. Yipee!
