Pam I like your thinking. I live on Rice Lake in Ontario and love all seasons except WINTER..yuck. I have fantasized about having the perfect resort on the lake and of course making enough money to spend a couple of months in Negril without no worries!!
My perfect resort would be made up of half seasonal trailer sites and the other half would be preferably panabode log cottages. A large building to hold a small store/canteen, a licenced restaurant with patio overlooking the lake, recreation room etc. State of the art docks, dockside fuel service, boat rentals, fishing charters and a nice pool area with bar service. Lots of trees and little pockets of flower gardens. I'd be the boss and I'd make my Husband and Children the supervisors. Come the end of October when fishing season shuts down and only the locals remain I would probably wait till Christmas and then head to Negril for about 2 months. Never been to Nirvana but it sounds like my kind of place. We're going this October and haven't decided where we are going to stay so we just may check it out.
The name of my resort.........let me give it some thought. I'm at work and can only dog it for so long.
