Martha Busts Out!

I guess by now well all know that Martha Stewart has been busted out of prison and has returned to her multi-million dollar estate in New York.

She looks like she's lost about 20 pounds, which was to be expected, prison food being what it is.

I think Martha was very smart to get her jail time over with. Now everyone wonders what she'll do next.

Just before I went to bed last night I was browing through the channels and found myself watching just a tiny bit of a show called "Scarborough Country". Scarborough sounds like he can just barely read, what a dunce. He was blabbering on about that Gay male escort who was set up in the White House press corps for the purpose of asking Bush scripted questions so that Bush could answer them and actually sound like he knew what he was talking about.

It appears to have blown up in their faces... Or did it?

Then we had that Bush family friend who tape recorded some conversations with Bush before he was president. I wasn't surprised that people didn't take much of an interest in the revelations because it all seemed so phoney. Now the Bush family friend/lawyer/schill has pretty much cancelled his TV interviews and his book is languishing on the shelves at Borders, unread.

Everyone believes that Bush smoked reefer and snorted coke, now that some of that is coming to light, no one really cares. Why should we? Bush is a lame duck. He's history.

It made me wonder what's going on in media-land so I started looking at the Alexa ratings for Fox News, MSNBC and CNN and what do you think I discovered? Well, the web traffic for all three of the sites is sharply down and I'll bet the TV ratings are sinking as well. What's going on? I think folks have just stopped watching Fox News, MSNBC and CNN.

Since the election, back in November, I stopped watching the news on TV and now I suspect that a lot of other folks are doing the same, which leaves us with one question: If an idiot is on television and no one is watching, how long will the idiot keep his job?

So if you fellow Democrats want to know what you can do to make your voices heard, just stop watching television news. Stop buying that stupid local newspaper that helped get Bush elected, and stop watching the redundant local news on TV.

So where does that get you? Well, if half the folks in the country stop patronising those idiots and their propaganda organs, just stop watching the crap on TV and stop buying those idiotic newspapers and pro-Bush magazines, the sponsors will take notice, and somewhere, someone will decide that the "fair and balanced" bulls**t isn't working anymore because the folks they are trying to influence aren't watching anymore and perhaps someone will give us the real hard news that isn't being extruded from the Neo-Cons. It's going to take a while but I promise you, the market will respond...

Where will you get your news? Just try and be more discriminating about what you watch and read. Stay away from the BS and start educating yourself. Four years from now Bush will be history.
