Departure

We left Milwaukee on Sunday morning at nine. The day was cold, overcast and wet. It was perfect weather for leaving the northern winter for Caribbean sunshine.

Our flight originated in Milwaukee, which is a much easier port of departure than O'Hare in Illinois. The only inconvenience that we experienced was that we had to hire two taxis to take us to the airport at $20.00 each.

The check-in line was already long when we filed into the airport and we had to wait a while as the process got to going but before long we were waiting to board the jet to Montego Bay.

I'm usually in a state of high anxiety at this time, as the passengers board and take their seats. We were all seated at the back and before long the doors were closed and we were headed down the runway and airborne.
